Some of my favorite memories of high school are hanging out at my friend’s house and playing his Sega Genesis long into the night.
Amid bags of Doritos and cans of Coke, one of our regular late night games was EA’s Road Rash.

While Road Rash wasn’t the best of games it sure was fun. Riding motorcycles across the countryside, dodging cows and punching other bikers in the face, Road Rash had everything a growing gamer might need. That, and it had an addicting soundtrack that would play over and over in my head long after our game session had ended.
Not sure if it would win any awards, but I always thought the OST to the original Road Rash was pretty awesome.

Just keep in mind that while this is fairly primitive by today’s standards, for the time Road Rash was one of the most fun racing experiences to be had. There were a few good racing games at the time, but nothing else was like Road Rash.
While EA has tried to remake Road Rash a few times, nothing has come close to the original games in terms of fun.
You must have had some insane friends. I do recall many fun Sega Genesis filled weekends staying up till the wee hours of the morning, zapping away at Road Rash, getting busted by the digital cops, and secretly being gassed out of the room by a specific doberman pinscher’s bombastic methane blasts.
