Today we’re going to focus on a great gaming deal, especially for veteran gamers who may have gotten away from gaming in the past few years, but who would like to get back into it in a cost effective way.
If this sounds like you, or if the cost effective part simply peaks your interest, then consider the following:
Nintendo’s 2DS

The 2DS is a cheaper, kids-focused version of Nintendo’s 3DS handheld, but don’t let that fool you. The 2DS is a great value right now, and many of it’s best games have been discounted to $20, where those same games would have been $40 a few years ago, and their Switch counterparts are almost always $60.
The best deal on the 2DS currently is available for $79.99, which includes The New Super Mario Bros 2 game preloaded onto the system.

This bundle is available from Target both online and in stores.
In addition to the system itself, the Nintendo Select series is comprised of some of the system’s best games for $19.99 or less. Some of my personal favorites are listed below:
(Note: 3DS games work on the 2DS system, just without the 3D effect seen on the 3DS. I don’t believe there are any dedicated 2DS games.)

While it’s true that the regular 2DS is the best dollar value, if you don’t mind spending a little bit more, you should definitely go for the 2DS XL, preloaded with Mario Kart 7, as shown below, for $149.99:

In addition to having a larger screen, and clamshell design, the 2DS XL can play the SNES Virtual Console games, which the standard 2DS can’t. However, both the standard 2DS and XL can play NES virtual console games.
Like most deals though, you never know how long this will last, so if you’re interested I suggest you get on it ASAP.
Happy gaming!
