New Tears of the Kingdom Video Reveals Enhancements

On March 28, Nintendo released a new ten minute long gameplay video, highlighting several new features and mechanics from their upcoming Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom game.

Among the new features were an explanation of the floating islands in the skies above Hyrule and how Link can use one of the new mechanics to reverse the course of falling blocks to ascend back into the sky.

In addition, another of Link’s new abilities will allow him to teleport through certain ceilings to reach new heights and easily scale mountains and other structures.

Finally, the third ability highlighted is Link can stick certain world objects together to create new vehicles and weapons. For weapons, in particular, fusing objects together can increase the durability and power of normal objects. This is how the different vehicles in preview images were created. Instead of there being prebuilt vehicles, Link is able to put together objects to build almost anything.

With these new abilities it seems the world of Hyrule will be an even better more dynamic sandbox than in Breath of the Wild.

Yuji Naka, Sonic Co-Creator, Admits to Insider Trading

As reported by Eurogamer, former Sonic the Hedgehog co-creator, Yuji Naka, admitted to insider trading of shares worth around £865k (about $1.1 million U.S. dollars).

In December of 2022, it was reported that Naka had purchased a large amount of shares in ATeam while he was employed at Square Enix.

ATeam is a Japanese mobile developer, and at the time they were working on the new mobile game, Final Fantasy 7: The First Soldier, which had not been publicly announced at the time Naka purchased the shares.

In addition to the shares of ATeam, Naka also bought shares in developer Aiming, which was making an unannounced Dragon Quest mobile game.

When he admitted to the insider trading allegations, Naka said, “there is no doubt that I knew the facts about the game before it was made public and bought the stock.”

E3 2023 Cancelled Due to “Lack of Interest”

Back in the 90s and early 00’s, E3 was always one of the most anticipated events of the year for gamers. Game developers and publishers would show off their latest and greatest games to journalists, and eager gamers would pour over every word and screenshot in the pages of gaming magazines like GamePro and Electronic Gaming Monthly (EGM).

While E3 stopped being a must see annual event quite a while ago, it was trying to make a comeback this year, despite none of the big publishers planning to be in attendance.

Sadly, but not unexpectedly, show organizer ReedPop recently announced that E3 2023 would not take place as scheduled this year, and both the physical show and the digital event were cancelled.

Both ReedPop and the Entertainment Software Association will be re-evaluating the future of E3, but things don’t look good for its return anytime soon.

According to the post, the codes only work if 365 game days have passed, but if you have that much time logged in GT4 you can use the codes to get 10,000 credits, pass a license test, get Gold on a specific license test or get Gold in any event.

Below are the newly discovered cheat codes:
