Why create a magazine in 2024? Are you crazy?

First of all…yes, probably

Second, even though social media is the primary way information is consumed these days (making even websites like this largely obsolete), posts can be altered, removed or censored without notice, possibly removing any record of their existence or original form.

Printed magazines, even in PDF form, maintain the content they were originally published with, thus preserving the information for future generations to reference. And even in today’s fast paced world, having information permanence you can rely on is invaluable.

So… creating and publishing a magazine can serve the public good, even when it’s “just” about video games.

Third, because of the death of major printed gaming publications, there is an unfulfilled need in the market, even if that market has shrunk considerably from what it once was.

Lastly, it’s because we believe printed media matters, and it offers an alternative, yet compelling way to consume information in 2024.
